Back home, back to reality!
Hi everybody!
Long time no see! I have been traveling a bit during April to both Japan and Austria and I just realised that I was in Sweden total of three days during the entire month. I had a blast but it is also great to be back! 😀
1-19 April I was in Japan (again) to take care of a Swedish group of 22 people. We traveled around a big part of the main island Honshu:
- Nara
- Kyoto
- Nakayama
- Kanazawa
- Matsumoto
- Magome
- Hakone
- Tokyo
We were so lucky in timing the cherry blossom, called “sakura” in Japanese, as the blooming can be earlier or later than usual if you are unlucky. It is a symbol of spring and new beginning in Japan and it is a special atmosphere being in Japan during the short period of 2 weeks when the flowers bloom. We saw many people enjoying “hanami” (literaly “looking at flowers” in Japanese) by sitting under the trees, eating and drinking and just having a good time.
Apart from the cherry blossom we all enjoyed the many sides of Japan. The historical, traditional, modern Japan as well as both the city and the beautiful nature that Japan has to offer. You have some examples below.
Until next time!
